Tales of Time reawakens the fairy and folk tales of old bringing a historical culture into a world of dancing robots, fighting polar bears and superhero puppies!

Stories which inspired, mesmerised and terrorised generations are revived, not modernised, yet rejuvenated enough to engage children of the current generation.

Today’s children are immersed in a beautiful sea of multiple religions, beliefs and cultures. We believe that understanding and respect for one another’s beliefs is the key to tolerance and love.

We hope we are contributing to that understanding by painting a sea of many colours, refracting many lights.

No easy task, learning to read is the single most important skill when securing our children’s future.
Reading to a child before they even understand you, encourages them to make connections between words and meaning.

It is full steam ahead for Tales of Time.

February was the first month of Abigail working full time on the stories and we are proud to introduce these to our list this month.

But we have lots more on the way. With a record number of visitors to the site, and our pens running dry from brainstorming sessions (not to mention our brains!), Dalibor and Abigail are, once more, spending this fine weekend snuggled up to their computers. Tea, anyone?

 

 

Working up a large bubble of heat on this cold, snowy morning, Dalibor and Abigail are, predictably, sitting at their desks adding to and improving the site.

Abigail was especially pleased to have her father do the voice of the big bad Troll in ‘Three Billy Goats Gruff’; just as he used to do when she was a child! Not only does it still make her laugh, but it symbolises what Tales of Time is all about. Passing the heritage of our forefathers down to our tots, hoping that one day they do the same.

And as Abigail waits patiently for the enormous clump of snow just clinging on to the roof top opposite the window to drop on some unsuspecting passer-by...she should probably get on with capturing the essence of our crazy world in words.

Can’t talk now, I have a headache... Wake me up in February.

Abigail and Dalibor are proud to unleash the monster of their creation – Tales of Time.

Their dedication to this site is evident – now boasting over 30 audio stories complete with sound effects, music and the relaxing tones of Abigail, the journey along the yellow brick road is only just beginning.

A constant chameleon, the website has changed colours and faces frequently, but has settled for a time – showing off our delightful design and accumulating illustrations.

With hundreds of stories on the list and ideas scribbled on anything not scribbled on yet, Tales of time has a bright, imaginative and very full future ahead. Bringing you classics, fairy tales, folktales, myths, legends, poems and brand new stories – there is something for everyone.

Tales of Time only produce stories we believe are suitable for children - and we appreciate that you may like to have a heads-up to any themes contained in them. The soon-to-arrive symbol system will allow you to spot any specific themes at a glance enlightening you to happy, funny or young stories and alerting you to any religious or violent themes within.

We would absolutely love to have your feedback and suggestions – so please don’t be shy!

Tales of Time is rounding the corner of their last lap towards THE BIG LAUNCH! Its devoted creators are hunched over their work tables creating a wonderful world of audio pleasure for little ears. Open for business from the 28th of October, our long-awaited stories are in the dressing room - nervously anticipating their audience.
