Our privacy policy tells you what information we collect from our visitors and how we use it.

Tales of Time (”we/us/our”) is registered at:

There are two sets of information that we collect and store:

1) Automatic

This data is NOT personally identifiable i.e. it gives no indication of who you are. It is collected and stored by Google in response to a visit on our site and simply provides us with statistics which we may analyse and use to improve the site. It is non-specific and may be used at any time, in any way necessary to improve the site, prevent security breaches and to ensure the integrity of data of our servers.

The following information is automatically collected and stored.
It is NOT personally identifiable:

• the date and time of a visit, including length of stay.
• the originating IP address (the number specific to a computer when it accesses the Web)
• the geographical region in which the computer is located. (Only town-specific.)
• the type of browser and operating system used (if provided by the browser)
• the search made when looking for us (if provided by the browser)
• number of pages visited
• screen resolution
• flash version and java support
• landing page

2) Requested

This data IS personally-identifiable and therefore does include personal information.

In compliance with the COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), we do not knowingly collect and store any personally identifiable information of children under 13yrs.

The following information would be requested when downloading our free stories:

• Name
• Email address

NONE of the information submitted at any stage will be passed, sold or rented to third parties. Any information collected by us will be stored by us alone.

Please note that by submitting this information, you are granting us permission to use your details in the following ways, even if your purchase was not completed. (i.e. you did not complete the Payment.)

You do, however have an opt-out option which we will adhere to. See notes on this below.

To receive a copy of what information we hold about you, please request this via tot.team@talesoftime.co.uk.  We will then email you with a response as soon as we can.

We may email you for the following reasons:

• to send you your free downloads
• to  occasionally inform you of new stories, changes or features on the site.
• to request voluntarily-submitted ideas or comments to help us improve our site.
• If there was a specific issue to be resolved regarding payment or usage of the materials on the site.

We will NEVER send Spam.

PayPal collection of information:

Once you have clicked the checkout button, you will be asked to provide information on the PayPal site. This page is completely secure and is designed for you to be safe while transmitting your payment details over the internet.

• The record of the transaction will be maintained by Pay Pal in a secure area.
• PayPal will never share your bank or payment details with us.

Our account with PayPal only allows us access to the following details:

• Your name
• Your email address registered with PayPal
• What you purchased
• When you made the purchase
• Method of payment

We may use this email address for the following reasons:

• to send you your purchased downloads
• to  occasionally inform you of new stories, changes or features on the site.
• to request voluntarily-submitted ideas or comments to help us improve our site.
• If there was a specific issue to be resolved regarding payment or usage of the materials on the site.

Opt-Out

Should you wish not to receive any of the following:

• Occasional  information of new stories, changes or features on the site.
• Requested voluntarily-submitted ideas or comments to help us improve our site.

You can ‘unsubscribe’ by following the appropriate link in one of the emails.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for combined use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Cookies with Tales of Time

A cookie is a piece of data stored on your hard drive containing information. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our websites. Email

Please feel free to email us. Though we do request that you use the address of somebody who is at least 13 years or older.

Visitors who are Children under the age of 13

Visiting Children may view our site and download our free stories. The Automatic NON Personally Identifiable Information will be collected from their visit, but there is no way for us to determine the age of a visitor.

We request that only people aged 13 or over give us their email address. We make this clear when you register.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 directly from the site.

Members or customers who are children under 13 years old should request permission of a parent or guardian before making a purchase. We have assured that this step is taken by requesting credit/debit card payment.

By inserting your card details, you are confirming that anyone under your guardianship has permission to be using the site.

As Tales of Time only request details of people over the age of 13, you can rest assured that we never knowingly collect any personally identifiable information of any child under that age.

Share our site

When recommending our site to a friend via email, no information including their email address or yours is seen by Tales of Time.

Tales of Time encourages comments and feedback.

We greatly appreciate any ideas you have about our site or our service.

You are offered the following choices when completing a comment box:

• You may use this comment on the site
• Please keep this comment private.

Please be sure to tell us your preference and we will adhere to this.

In either case, any such comments left on our site will be monitored and  kept for analysis.

Changes to your details

Should you wish to change any details, please get in touch via our Contact us page and we will endeavour to get these changed as soon as possible.

Information Protection

We will take reasonable precaution to protect any information we receive such as those contained in emails until such time as it is deleted.

Information stored by us is kept in a secure location and is only accessible by Tales of Time.

Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom and any litigation or dispute arising from it will be settled in a UK Court of law.

Future change of Privacy Policy

This Policy was last updated on 3rd November 2010

If we need to change this policy in future, we will draw attention to the change on our site.

Legal Obligations

Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required to do so by law.
